I've trained for:

There's lots of race awareness resources out there, but how do you ensure you're

moving from awareness to action?

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • I’m struggling to include race in our staff training resources….

I'm not a person of colour, it doesn't feel authentic for me.

  • I need to close the gap between our live training sessions…

I find that folks forget what they learnt and new employees sometimes have to wait too long for the next training session.

  • I find it so time -consuming finding and organising quality race equity training…

I’m overwhelmed by different providers, it’s hard to know which is quality training and which can cause harm.

  • I’m aware that a claim of race discrimination could damage our reputation…

I’m worried about providing out-of-date information to colleagues.

  • I want our organisation to be more inclusive when it comes to race…

We need to do more to become more reflective of society.

If it does, then you already know how difficult it can be

trying to get quality advice and support

ABOUT US

Meet Sy Joshua

Hey, I’m Sy , founder and creator of Race in the Workplace.

My determination to build this resource has been based on an accumulation of negative racial experiences at work.

So often, I’ve felt isolated and uncertain about addressing racial discrimination with colleagues.

In 2020, after personally navigating a significant race discrimination incident, I decided to chart a new course in my career.

I began supporting individuals from across the UK who had also experienced race discrimination at work.

I recognised reoccuring themes arising from these real-life experiences and used these insights to develop and deliver live race awareness training to over 1,000 employees and volunteers across many different sectors.   Over 3 years, this training achieved a 98% satisfaction rate and my vision for Race in the Workplace became clear.

I’ve made it my mission to bring to life the aspiration of an anti-racist society that values Diversity, Equity and Belonging.

Our purpose is to give everybody the opportunity to move from race awareness to action.

I believe that 24/7 365 access to an updated race equity resource, with access to mentor and peer support is a must for a racially inclusive workplace.

FAQ image

Not sure if Race in the Workplace is right for your organisation?

Race in the Workplace is not for every organisation, and to be totally honest with you,

we’d prefer you to figure out if it’s not for you before you join

rather than waste your time, so let's cut to the chase.

Race in the Workplace is ideal for:

Organisations genuinely committed to being reflective of society and willing to invest time, effort, and resources into this goal.

HR & EDI professionals looking for a quality race equity resource to help drive a positive culture in their organisation

Leaders and decisions makers who want to ‘buy in’ and proactively lead by example in developing race equity practices.

Allies, champions and continuous learners who recognise that learning and adapting to evolving racial equity issues is an ongoing process, not a one-time solution.

Race in the Workplace isn't a good fit for:

❌ Organisations that are unwilling to acknowledge or address race discrimination in the workplace.

❌ Those looking for a "quick fix" or superficial solutions, as achieving race equity requires a combination of sustainable approaches.
